Supervisor of Special Education

Qualifications:

  • Supervisor Certificate in Special Education and/or Principal; undergraduate degree and 5 years teaching experience within special education programs.

 

The Marion Center Area School District is seeking a highly motivated and solution-focused Supervisor of Special Education to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships, mediating and working to solve complex situations, and motivating and supporting staff to achieve excellence. This role serves as a counterpart to the Director of Education, with a primary focus on ensuring compliance with Special Education regulations and overseeing the effective implementation of programs that support student success.

Special Education Teacher

Qualifications:

  • PA Special Education Teaching Certificate covering middle-level grades (PreK–12 certification preferred).
 

The Marion Center Area School District is seeking candidates for an additional Special Education Teacher to support our middle-level Special Education students. This position primarily focuses on 7th and 8th-grade life skills but also includes assignments teaching social skills to students at the intermediate elementary and junior high levels.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in:

  • Implementing functional academic programs aligned with the PA Essential Elements.
  • Developing and maintaining positive behavior support plans.
  • Delivering social and emotional programming.
  • Addressing sensory needs.

Professional development and ongoing support will be provided.
