Marion Center Families: As indicated in our COVID-19 School Reopening Plan, we will be revisiting our return to school plan each month at our board meetings. We are seeking feedback from our parents/guardians for consideration at our October Board Meeting, which will be occurring Monday evening, October 26th at 7:00 pm.
Some important points that you may want to keep in mind as you complete the survey are below:
If the district does decide to return to a "normal" school schedule (5 days per week of face to face instruction), we would continue with as many mitigation techniques as possible. However, social distancing will not be able to occur in all settings, including the majority of classrooms. Desks will be set at the farthest distance possible within each classroom.
The number of students on buses will increase.
Masks will continue to be required throughout the school day and cafeteria schedules will be altered to social distance and/or use COVID barriers when masks will be removed to eat, according to PDE/State of PA requirements.
Information regarding the most recent PA and Indiana County numbers can be found at https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Monitoring-Dashboard.aspx.
If you have any other questions that you would like to ask prior to completing the survey, please call your child's building or the Administrative Office at 724-397-5551.
We would like your feedback to consider during our discussion. Please complete the following questions prior to Monday, October 26th. Thank you for your time and thoughtful responses in this difficult time.
