The Marion Center Area School District is seeking the following positions for the 2023-24 school year
 

School Psychologist - seeking an individual that would serve students by completing K-12 special education evaluations and providing psychological services to a small number of students. Our district serves approximately 1100 students in a rural community. The individual must be an active team member on committees that support our school initiatives such as PBIS, MTSS, and Social Emotional Learning, as well as serve as a leader under the Director of Education in our special education programs. Instructional Assistant - seeking an individual to work within our special education program to assist students with personal care responsibilities and provide instructional support in classes. Elementary schedule - 8:30 - 4:00. High School Diploma required. 9 month contract $11.90 p/hr starting rate. Single health benefits.

 

At-Risk Student Tutor - seeking an individual to provide support to students struggling academically, predominantly in 7th and 8th grade. High school schedule 7:25 - 3:10. Associates degree or equivalent credits, ability to remediate 7th and 8th grade Math and Reading concepts, and personality to connect with and encourage students required. Salaried 9 month position. $28,500. Single benefits. 1 year grant-funded position.

 

LPN at Seeds of Faith (Creekside)/Marion Center Elementary Buildings- seeking an individual to provide nursing services to approximately 100 students at Seeds of Faith on a regular basis, some schedule days at either Rayne or McCreery Elementary. Call the number below for more information.

 

Substitute Teachers - 4 year college degree required. $100 p/day.

 

Substitute LPNs/RNs - Nursing certification required. $120 - $140 per day.

School District Hiring Policy

The Marion Center Area School Board of Directors has adopted a District Hiring Policy aligned with state statutes. In accordance with the Marion Center Area School District's Hiring Policies and Procedures applications will only be accepted if and when an opening exists and shall be kept on file until the position is filled. Marion Center Area School District will no longer maintain an on-going active file of applicants. Advertising for a specific opening will create an applicant pool when an open position occurs within the district. Adopted 4/21/2003.

The Marion Center School District is actively seeking highly qualified individuals for day-to-day substitute positions for Teachers, Secretaries, Instructional Assistants, LPNs/RNs, Food Service, and Custodial positions.  

 

AmeriCorps

 

The Marion Center Area School District is seeking applicants for 2 1200-Hour AmeriCorps positions starting August 24, 2022 and ending June 5, 2023  The position is 32 hours/per week.  Members receive a $654.00 bi-weekly stipend and an educational award of $4,266.50 earned at the conclusion of the term of service.  Health insurance is available at no cost if needed.  A child-care stipend is available to income eligible members.  Interested applicants may apply by calling the Education Office at 724-397-5551 Ext. 5408 by Aug 14, 2022.  This is an AmeriCorps position not a teacher contract position. Any teaching certificate is acceptable.
