Staff and students gathered today, February 10th, to launch the kickoff of the American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart challenge.
On Thursday, February 2nd, 2017, the students in Mr. Sitosky's Kindergarten class at McCreery Elementary celebrated Groundhog Day. Students created groundhog headbands with their student teacher, Mr. Gregory DiMaio, in the classroom.
On Friday, January 27th, the W. A. McCreery Rayne Elementary Kindergarten classes hosted Guided Reading Workshops for students and their parents. Classrooms were filled as parents worked with small groups to help learn reading fundimentails.
Our staff and students have been busy decorating their classrooms and hallways as the Marion Center Elementary Schools prepare to hold open houses this week.
On a partly overcast May 26th, staff and students of W. A. McCreery Elementary participated in a fun filled, heart healthy, day of events.
Student art projects from both elementary school were on display Wednesday evening, May 18th at Rayne Elementary School as students and their parents attended a light reception.
On Wednesday, April 6th, 2016, Pittsburgh's Action Weather teamed up with the Carnegie Science Center to visit our McCreery Elementary students for a special assembly. WTAE-TV Channel 4 meteorologist Ray Petelin and Carnegie Science Center scientist Ralph held a weather assembly for the students in grades K-6 who received their Stinger Pride Reward.
