School District Hiring Policy

The Marion Center Area School Board of Directors has adopted a District Hiring Policy aligned with state statutes. In accordance with the Marion Center Area School District's Hiring Policies and Procedures applications will only be accepted if and when an opening exists and shall be kept on file until the position is filled. Marion Center Area School District will no longer maintain an on-going active file of applicants. Advertising for a specific opening will create an applicant pool when an open position occurs within the district.

Current Professional Positions:

 

Marion Center Area School District is seeking applicants for Mid-Level English or Secondary English Certified Teaching positions. An English as a Second Language Certificate is a plus.  Applicants must provide PA Standard application, Resume, PA Teaching certificate or Act 36 letter, Transcripts, Praxis scores, three letters of recommendation, Act 114, Act 151 and Act 34 Clearances, Health Certificate and Tb test results. Interested applicants please post required information by June 11, 2018 to receive priority review. Applicants with Elementary/Middle 4 – 8 (English, Language Arts, Reading), English 7-12, and Middle-level English 7-9 will be considered.  We are currently still accepting applications. 

 

The MCASD is currently seeking substitute teachers.  Individuals with PA teaching certificates or a bachelor's degree can be considered for day-to-day substitute positions.  Applications are accepted anytime at Central Office.  Please call the Administration Office at 724-397-5551 for more information.
